Oily type - principles of daily care
The most common type is a mixed type, when the skin is oily on the forehead, nose, and chin; this is the so-called T-zone.
Truly oily skin has clearly noticeable wide pores, is shiny and its color is yellowish, even a little earthy. It peels off, if you wash with tap water and soap, rashes and irritation appear. In summer, makeup does not stay on the face: it simply runs off due to the abundance of secreted fat. People with this type of epidermis are forced to constantly struggle with acne, comedones, and pimples, but it is precisely due to increased oiliness that the face ages much more slowly than those with dry and normal skin. But masks for oily skin, which can be made at home, can significantly reduce all negative manifestations, and numerous positive reviews confirm this. I know this firsthand - my son has a mixed skin type, and during his teenage years he had problems familiar to many: pimples, blackheads, but proper systematic care did its good work.
The basis of proper facial care is cleansing. This way we remove excess sebum, makeup residues and dirt that has settled on the face throughout the day. If your sebaceous glands work excessively, then you need to cleanse your face more often. In the morning and before going to bed, you need to wash your face with water at a comfortable temperature, or mineral water, using a suitable non-aggressive product - gel, foam, milk. To cleanse the pores, I recommend washing your face using a face brush, which should be soft and always clean.
You have almost everything for proper skin care at home
There is an opinion that this type of epidermis should be cleansed more often with scrubs, supposedly this will make it fresher and cleaner. Should not be doing that. Several times a week you can use oatmeal or rolled oats ground into flour - pour a small amount onto a saucer, take it with wet fingers and do a light facial massage, and then rinse with water. After washing your face this way, it becomes softer and less shiny.
After washing, the skin needs to be toned; for this, use lotion or tonic. Choose products with AHA acids (fruit, glycolic, lactic, malic, salicylic), which affect the functioning of the sebaceous glands, moisturize, and help exfoliate dead cells. You can wipe your face with herbal decoctions or ice cubes from the same decoctions or juice of berries and fruits mixed with water. Remember that all tonics, creams, masks should be applied along massage lines - from the center to the ears. Contrary to advertising, you should not use products containing alcohol, as they, if used constantly, excessively dry out even oily skin.
We complete our daily care by applying a light, moisturizing cream. In the morning it is better to use a product with a sun filter, and an evening cream can be nourishing. If the skin is very problematic, then you should apply the healing cream both in the morning and in the evening. It’s good if the gel or cream contains zinc, sulfur, the same AHA acids, vitamins A and B.
For oily skin, choose products with fruit acids
Advice: limit yourself to flour and sweets, as this provokes excessive secretion of sebum. In addition, it will have a good effect on your figure.
Reviews of the products used
The strawberry mask helps a lot. And the pimples go away, and the complexion improves. When I had strawberries, I made these masks for myself several times a week. The result is pleasing.

If you have acne, it is better to immediately consult a specialist, take the necessary tests, and not self-medicate so that it does not get worse. I tried everything, from folk recipes to Zenerite, but it didn’t help. I was treated from the inside - I drank brewer's yeast with sulfur for about two months. After about two weeks, the skin became smoother and brighter, and then I bought Evisent cleansing foam. After washing, the skin is so even and smooth, without redness. During this period, eat less sweets and starchy foods, you have to be patient.

After taking a course of medication, acne broke out. In old age, although in adolescence there weren’t many of them. I went to the store. Confused. I looked: two girls aged 12–14, discussing loudly, were choosing a gift for teacher’s day, counting small bills and calculating how much money they would have enough for. I asked them: “Can you recommend something for acne for the old woman?” Here's their advice: it's cheap and it works! White clay, ordinary, for pennies. I diluted it at home with a couple of spoons of warm clean water (not from the tap) and added a few drops of tea tree oil. Super!!! If I had gone straight to the sales assistant, I probably would have left a lot more money in the store for some super products!

If you have acne, you should drink activated charcoal: 4-5 tablets on an empty stomach to cleanse your stomach a little. Coal absorbs everything bad like a sponge. As for masks, try washing your face with rolled oats. It should be diluted with a little water + tea tree oil, a couple of drops. Tar soap is also good for pimples.

A good acne mask made from Neem powder (an Indian plant, officially called Azadirachta indica). It is a natural antiseptic and treats the skin very well. Can be alternated with clay masks. And, of course, it is imperative to watch your diet.

Any pharmacy sells clay in powder. It can be white, pink, there are many varieties! And it’s very cheap - about 20 rubles for three packs, which is enough for three weeks. We buy it, dilute it with water, but so that the consistency is similar to sour cream, and apply it to the face. It can also be applied to the neck, shoulders, and décolleté area. Leave until completely dry (30 minutes) and wash off. It tightens pores very well and relieves inflammation. The only negative is that it tightens the face a lot. But you can be patient! I love!

I use Green Mama masks. The kaolin mask soothes the skin well. There are two varieties: with vitamin F and with menthol. In the evening, after washing, apply to the face and lie with it for 20 minutes. Then wash it off.

If you add a couple of drops of propolis solution to a mask made of blue clay and cucumber juice, the mask will protect against acne and their traces.

If you want to have beautiful acne-free skin, then make a honey mask with 4 aspirin tablets once a week and an oatmeal mask with milk (crush the flakes) twice a week. Pre-steam the skin using a steam bath with dried chamomile. Before going to bed, lubricate your skin with coconut oil. Wash your face with water in the morning and cleansing gel in the evening. This is all provided that you have normal or dry facial skin.

It is quite possible to get rid of acne on the face, which greatly spoils the appearance, on your own, without resorting to expensive cosmetic procedures. But the fight against them must be targeted and comprehensive. You will need to reconsider your diet and lifestyle, and choose suitable skin care products. Homemade and store-bought masks are very useful in this case. Of course, only high-quality products and their correct application give the desired effect.

Selecting a mask according to your skin type
To achieve a good effect, you need to make a mask that matches your skin type. Now let’s decide what type of mask is suitable.
For dry skin
Dry skin types are prone to flaking and early wrinkles.
Therefore, such skin needs intensive hydration and nutrition. In this case, a mask of cucumbers and cream will come in handy.
To prepare it, grate 1 cucumber and then add 1 tbsp sour cream or cream. mix and apply with a spatula to the face for 25 minutes, and then rinse with warm water. And then apply moisturizer.
For oily skin
Enlarged pores give an unpleasant shine to the skin, this is evidence that you have an oily skin type. Regular use of berry face masks can cope with this problem.
Berry juice will cleanse pores and help get rid of oily shine.
To do this, chop cherries, raspberries, strawberries, currants, all in equal proportions, add 1 tbsp. water and glycerin 10 drops.
Mix everything and apply on the face in the form of a paste. You can also moisten gauze in the prepared composition and put it on your face as a compress.
After 25 minutes, rinse the mask with warm water.
Then apply a cream appropriate to your skin type.
For a good effect from a mask for oily skin, exfoliate first. This will help open the pores for better results.
For combination skin
Combination skin has enlarged pores in the nose and forehead, thereby highlighting this area with an oily sheen, while the cheeks remain dry.
For such skin, you need masks that not only normalize the production of sebaceous glands, but also nourish dry skin. An oatmeal mask would be an ideal choice; it nourishes the skin and also gently cleanses it.
Combine 1 tbsp. oatmeal, add 0.5 tsp honey, and 1 tbsp kefir. Mix everything and apply with a brush to your face for half an hour.
And then rinse with warm water and apply nourishing cream.
The mask should be prepared immediately before application so as not to provoke skin inflammation.
Care after 30
As you age, you need to start actively nourishing your skin, even if it is oily, which means that from the age of 30 we get used to preparing masks for ourselves at home for oily skin. The simplest, but no less effective mask, nourishing and softening, removing flaking is an ordinary egg yolk. Beat, spread on your face, and after a quarter of an hour, rinse with warm water.
The persimmon pulp will nourish you with vitamins and significantly refresh you. These are very simple and wonderful masks.
Toning masks with protein, honey and any fermented milk product, for example, kefir or yogurt. To do this, beat the protein into a foam, add honey and kefir in equal quantities. To make the mixture thicker and not run off your face, you can thicken it with oatmeal or bran.
Tip: in summer, use fresh berries and rice flour or ground rolled oats - such masks make the skin matte and tighten pores.
After 30 years, the skin needs more careful care and nutrition. When the face already needs more serious care, for example, for those 35-36 years old and older, masks for oily facial skin should give a tightening effect, a kind of lifting. Small shallow wrinkles disappear, and the skin regains its former elasticity. As always, consistency is important here. For 30-40 days we do tightening masks two to three times a week:
- Peel the cucumber and remove seeds, grate it, add the beaten egg white and a teaspoon of olive oil. After twenty-five minutes you can wash it off.
- A tablespoon of oatmeal, a fifteen-gram package of dry yeast, half a glass of milk, a teaspoon of honey - mix, apply to the face, hold until dry.
