Viferon for papillomas: use and effect on papillomas

Papillomas - flattened or hanging growths on the skin - are a rather unaesthetic sight. In addition, initially harmless papillae can degenerate into malignant tumors. Their color varies from flesh to brown. Like warts, they indicate a viral infection of the human epithelium. Favorite places for papillomas are the neck, armpits and groin; they are less common near the eyelids, lips and on the chest. Viferon ointment for papillomas will help you cope with this scourge; read reviews about it below.

Attention! If you find pathological formations in yourself, do not cut or tear them off! This is fraught with the development of cancer cells!

Helper medicine

New growths on the skin always have an unpleasant appearance; moreover, they can cause a lot of inconvenience if their location is subject to friction with parts of the clothing that a person must wear. But the reason for the appearance of such formations can be very unpleasant, for example, they are often of viral origin. If the nature of the appearance of a neoplasm on the skin is correctly established and its viral etiology is confirmed, then the specialist may prescribe the drug “Viferon” for use. This medicine has been helping to get rid of papillomas for several decades, which confirms its relevance. Experts who recommend this medicine for the treatment of a certain group of diseases know that it is most effective in complex treatment.

Viferon suppositories for papillomas

Viferon suppositories are prescribed to patients for complex therapy of human papillomavirus infection. This drug is able to stop the spread of the virus throughout the patient’s body, as it is able to effectively correct all existing defense mechanisms (nonspecific). Indications for the use of Viferon suppositories are the following diseases:

  • papillomavirus infection;
  • diseases of inflammatory and infectious nature;
  • viral hepatitis groups D, C and B;
  • hepatitis (viral), occurring in a chronic form;
  • urogenital infections;
  • herpes;
  • infections of the mucous membranes and skin;
  • ARVI, acute respiratory infections, influenza, etc.

What are the forms of release of the drug?

The work of harmful viruses is not always the flu. Neoplasms on the skin and mucous membranes can also be of a viral nature, for example, when a person is infected with the papilloma virus. In such cases, the use of antiviral agents is justified. For example, a drug called “Viferon”. Suppositories for papillomas, produced in a line of similar products, are used only to strengthen the immune system, but external medications also help locally. Drugs from this line can be purchased in three pharmacological forms: in the form of an ointment and gel for external use, as well as in the form of rectal suppositories. A specialist will help you determine which dosage form is best to use in each specific case.

Drug treatment is enemy number 1 for condylomas

There are a number of medications that are used in the treatment of warts.

They are divided into groups depending on the effect they provide:

  • necrotizing - under the influence of these agents, the vital activity of the wart cells stops, it dies. This group includes Ferezol, Verrukacid, Condilin, lapis. They must be applied carefully so as not to damage healthy areas of the skin. Treatment with iodine also causes a necrotizing effect;
  • immunomodulatory and antiviral agents. Typically, anti-wart medications combine these actions for better results. Some of their components prevent viral particles from multiplying, while others stimulate local immunity. The use of drugs in this group gives very good results: Isoprinosine, Viferon, Panavir, Oxolinic ointment, Riodoxol ointment, Aldara cream;
  • keratolytic agents. The use of keratolytic drugs is indicated for hard, keratinized growths. Getting rid of flat warts with their help is quite difficult and fraught with complications. These agents act by softening and dissolving the hard structure of growths, which leads to their death and detachment. Such drugs are Salicylic ointment, Collomak, Antipapillom gel, SuperClandestine, Salipod patch;
  • drugs with cryofreezing effect. These are two popular products - Wartner cryo and Cryopharma. They act similar to removing warts with liquid nitrogen. Only the temperature regime of exposure is adapted for use at home. After freezing, the growth loses its viability and dries out.

You can buy these drugs at any point in the pharmacy chain, but self-medicating warts can be dangerous.

It is better to visit a doctor and take his prescriptions.

Pointed growths cause a lot of trouble for both men and women, because they are most often located in the genital area. The inconvenience is not only aesthetic, but also physical - small warts can cause itching, pain and bleeding during sexual intercourse. Treatment is extremely necessary, because there is a danger of their development into benign and malignant neoplasms.

Genital warts are pink bumps (nodules) that affect the genitals, anal area, intergluteal and inguinal folds. The disease is characterized by a long course and infectious complications (odor, itching, discharge, pain).

You can get rid of warts not only in a radical way.

Conservative treatment is also used.

It is usually quite effective because the use of medications takes into account the viral nature of these tumors.

One of these drugs is Viferon ointment for warts, the use of which has good reviews.

Growths and defects on the skin can appear for various reasons, but often this is how the human papillomavirus manifests itself, which enters the blood through sexual contact, and in rare cases, through household contact. Since the incubation period of this disease is 7-8 months, it is very difficult to track the moment of infection.

As soon as small warts appear, you need to be examined by a doctor and take tests to receive recommendations for treatment and further prevention.

Ointment. Peculiarities

1 gram of Viferon ointment against papillomas contains 40,000 IU of the active component, which is human recombinant alpha-2b interferon. This drug also contains:

  • alpha-tocopherol acetate (in other words, vitamin E, which is involved in tissue metabolism and has antioxidant properties;
  • anhydrous lanolin, which is animal fat, gives the skin elasticity and softness;
  • Medical Vaseline has a softening effect on the skin, helps restore the hydrolipid mantle of the skin;
  • Peach oil is a natural multicomponent substance of plant origin that has a complex effect on the skin.

To obtain a certain concentration and consistency of the ointment, purified water is used.

Composition and positive properties

The active ingredient of the drug is human interferon. This is a protein that plays an important role in the human immune system. The antiviral effect is most pronounced, that is, its ability to destroy viral cells.

Immunomodulatory properties imply the coordinated work of the entire system. Protein regulates the activity of all parts of the immune system, thus they complement and support each other. Cells become more sensitive to foreign agents and actively fight them.

The substance also neutralizes the occurrence of oncoviruses and suppresses the growth of tumor cells. This helps prevent or slow down the formation of a malignant process.

The protein included in Viferon is identical to natural interferon, therefore it effectively eliminates condylomas. Excipients in the form of antioxidants, for example, ascorbic acid, enhance the medicinal properties of the drug.

Vitamin E (tocopherol acetate) and peach oil help relieve or prevent unpleasant symptoms that often occur. Growths on the skin usually cause itching, burning, redness, and pain. Natural components promote healing of irritated surfaces and have a calming effect.

Gel. Characteristic

Gel "Viferon" for papillomas is also a multicomponent drug in which the active substance is human recombinant interferon alpha-2b. 1 gram of this drug contains 36 IU. How auxiliary components are used:

  • alpha-tocopherol acetate;
  • methionine is an essential sulfur-containing amino acid, a multifunctional biologically active substance that is involved, among other things, in the processes of production of immune cells;
  • benzoic acid has antiseptic properties and is used as a preservative;
  • citric acid monohydrate is a natural antioxidant;
  • sodium tetraborate decahydrate (borax) has a disinfectant effect;
  • sodium chloride in an aqueous isotonic solution is a detoxifying agent;
  • human albumin is one of the main protein components of blood serum, promotes the retention of tissue fluid;
  • distilled glycerin (glycerol) has a softening effect on the skin;
  • carmellose sodium acts as an epithelial protector, helping tissue regeneration;
  • ethanol 95% is a medicinal base with antiseptic properties;
  • purified water.

What works in the medicine to support immunity?

The drug "Viferon" for papillomas of any pharmaceutical form uses human recombinant interferon alpha-2b as the main active substance. The name “interferon” defines a fairly large group of protein compounds produced or activated by cells of the human body in response to the invasion and replication of viruses. Interferons were discovered completely by accident, getting their name from interference - from the English word meaning obstacle. These bioactive substances are divided into several groups, based on the types of cells that produce them. α, β and γ-interferons have acquired particular importance in medicine. Among these interferons, the compound alpha-2b stands out, used in the treatment of severe viral diseases.

Types of HPV with oncogenic risk

Currently, there are more than 600 types (strains) of papillomavirus found in humans. Of these, approximately 40 can cause damage to the anogenital tract of men and women, which is manifested by the formation of condylomas or the development of precancerous changes within the epithelium with the subsequent development of cancer of the cervix, vagina, vulva, anus, and penis.

All types of papillomaviruses are divided into three groups according to their oncogenic danger to humans1:

  • human papillomaviruses of low oncogenic risk: 6, 11, 40, 42, 43, 44;
  • viruses of intermediate oncogenic risk: 35, 51, 52, 58;
  • viruses of high oncogenic risk: 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 56.

The oncogenicity of the virus is explained by its ability to integrate its DNA into the genome of human cells.

How does the active ingredient work?

The drug "Viferon" against papillomas receives very different reviews from professionals and patients. The bioactive substance interferon operates externally and in rectal suppositories. How does it work, what helps solve the problem of skin formations? Interferons are produced in the human body when viruses enter it. The medicinal substance does not fight the health pest itself, but protects cells that are attacked by the pathogen. Protection consists of changing the properties of the cell membrane, which prevents adhesion and penetration of the virus inside. Interferon also triggers the synthesis of certain specific enzymes that can suppress and disrupt the synthesis of viral RNA and viral proteins in the cell. The drug modulates the cytoskeleton of the cell membrane, cellular metabolism, which prevents the proliferation of cells, especially tumor cells. Interferon alpha-2b changes the production of some oncogenes, which activates the processes of normalization of neoplastic cell transformation and inhibits tumor growth. This effect of the drug, in turn, stimulates the process of antigen presentation to immunocompetent cells and increases the activity of killer cells that function in antiviral immunity. It is thanks to the studied effect of interferons that drugs containing them, including “Viferon” for papillomas, have very positive reviews.

What are contraindications and what are the side effects?

Having studied the package insert for any of the ointments, we can say more specifically about contraindications. This will depend on the composition and active substances. In any case, if redness and itching appears, it is better to discontinue the drug. This serves as a symptom that the patient is allergic to one of the components. Contraindications also apply to the patient’s childhood, lactation period and pregnancy (only with the permission of doctors). When using ointments, after applying to a damaged area of skin, under no circumstances should the growth be sealed or bandaged. Sometimes the ointment serves as a burning agent and in case of a thermal burn, it should be urgently treated with antiseptics. Do not apply any more ointment. It is not recommended to use any medicinal cream for more than the permitted time. This definitely leads to allergies and possible degeneration of the neoplasm into a malignant tumor.

As for side effects, this is an allergic reaction to the drug, and accordingly there will be itching, burning, redness and swelling in the area where the ointment is applied. If such manifestations occur, then it is necessary to immediately stop using the anti-condylomas ointment and treat with an antiseptic. No additional actions are required. Everything will go away on its own within three days.

The path of medicine in the human body

The work of any drug is carried out in several stages - from absorption to disposal. One of the externally used medicines that activates the immune system in the fight against viral diseases is Viferon. Treatment of papillomas with this drug is justified by the functionality of the active component - human recombinant interferon alpha-2b. Ointment and gel are used externally for immunomodulation and combating the virus. The active component does not have a significant systemic effect, acting locally. Additional components of the ointment and gel - vitamin E, citric acid - activate the specific antiviral functionality of human recombinant interferon alpha-2b, enhancing its immunomodulatory effect, expressed in stimulating the phagocytic function of neutrophils in the lesions. This work of the drug allows you to enhance the effectiveness of the body’s own immune response to pathogens. Local use of the drug is most effective in the complex treatment of viral diseases.

Interaction with other drugs

For the treatment of papillomas on the genitals, it is recommended to use suppositories. Topical agents can be inserted vaginally or rectally. Both have a pronounced antiviral effect. As a result of their impact on a weakened body, candles perform several functions simultaneously:

  • Relieve pain;
  • Eliminate tissue swelling;
  • Reduce virus activity;
  • Stop the inflammatory process.

The active components of the suppositories strengthen general and local immunity. As soon as the protective functions of the patient’s body return to normal, the disease will begin to recede. Otherwise, it will not be possible to suppress the spread of papillomas.

"Viferon" ointment for papillomas has the following effect:

  • Antiproliferative;
  • Immunomodulatory;
  • Antiviral.

The main component of the drug has strong antiviral activity. Due to additional components, the drug helps:

  • Stimulate the work of lymphocytes;
  • Increase the level of immunoglobulins;
  • Stimulate the production of endogenous interferon.

Viferon also helps stabilize membrane cells, so that disease-affected areas heal faster and the inflammatory process is significantly reduced.

When is the drug used?

The medicine “Viferon” (ointment) against papillomas receives quite varied reviews. The drug is used externally. In the treatment and prevention of not only papillomavirus, but also other diseases:

  • flu;
  • acute respiratory viral diseases;
  • stenotic laryngotracheitis (false croup);
  • damage to the skin and mucous membranes by herpes viruses;
  • herpetic cervicitis.

Long-term practice of using the drug “Viferon” (gel) for papillomas, patient reviews and the opinion of specialists indicate that only complex treatment, as well as timely prevention, help cure the disease. As monotherapy, the use of external agents with interferon has practically no effect.

What types of HPV exist?

HPV infection of anogenital localization can occur in latent, subclinical and clinical forms. In the latent form, the virus is detected, but there are no changes in the epithelium. Subclinical infection is detected only using a test with 3% acetic acid and manifests itself as small flat warts.

The clinical form of human papillomavirus infection can occur in the form of intraepithelial lesions (within the epithelium) in women and men, which are not visible to the naked eye, but are detected by colposcopy and cytological/histological examination and can lead to precancerous diseases and cancer.

The manifestations of human papillomavirus are variable and depend on the type of virus. HPV of low oncogenic risk also leads to the appearance of warts and papillomas:

  • Vulgar warts are hard growths more than 1 mm in diameter with a rough, keratinized surface. It is possible for papillomas to merge to form large areas of damage.
  • Plantar warts are hard, flat formations on the skin of the foot, rising above its level and covered with a layer of keratinized epithelium. They have a protruding rim. Sometimes one wart produces daughter warts.
  • Flat warts are skin formations in the form of flat nodules up to 5 mm in size. Flat warts, as a rule, are multiple and are located in groups on the face, back of the hands, and legs.
  • Threaded papillomas affect the area around the eyes, groin, neck and armpits. They are elongated formations of elastic consistency measuring 5-6 mm.

There are three known routes of transmission of HPV:

  • contact and household;
  • sexual (genital, anal, oral-genital);
  • in childbirth from mother to child.

Predisposing factors that contribute to infection and the development of infection are vitamin deficiency, immunodeficiency, smoking, endometriosis, physical overload and chronic fatigue, pregnancy, urogenital infections, as well as any chronic diseases that negatively affect the immune system. The risk of infection increases with frequent contact with bare human skin, for example during massage.

Papilloma virus. What is this?

The drug "Viferon" (ointment) for papillomas has quite contradictory reviews. Some praise him, others, on the contrary, scold him. Human papillomavirus is a large group of microorganisms that live near humans. This type of virus enters the body through the blood:

  • during sexual intercourse;
  • during childbirth - from mother to child;
  • through cuts and abrasions in contact with contaminated material.

The virus is transported in the blood to the basal layer of the skin, where it takes hold and begins its life activity, causing cells to actively multiply. Scientists have identified two forms of papillomavirus. One functions in the extrachromosomal space of the cell, called episomal. The neoplasms formed as a result of its vital activity are benign in nature. Another form of the virus is called introsomal - it integrates into the cell genome and disrupts it. The result is a malignant tumor.

Mechanism of action

The main component in the ointment prevents the introduction of the virus. It also penetrates the papillomavirus cells, causing transformation in them. Thus, a barrier is put in place for the proliferation of the foreign agent in the affected tissues.

Reducing the amount of the causal factor reduces and soon completely eliminates unwanted symptoms.

Thanks to the natural composition, all components are harmless and well tolerated by the body. Interference with natural protective processes is almost imperceptible. It turns out that the immune system itself is fighting, and the drug is only an assistant.

How is the medicine used?

One of the ways to defeat the virus is to treat papillomas with Viferon. Reviews of this technique are the most contradictory. After all, a virus is a rather aggressive type of life and only an ointment or gel cannot cope with it. The method of using the drug “Viferon” in the fight against papillomas on the skin or mucous membranes is quite simple: the ointment or gel is taken from the tube with a cotton swab, and then a small amount of the drug is applied directly to the papilloma, wart, or condyloma. This procedure is repeated 4-5 times a day. Also daily. It is best to use Viferon rectal suppositories in the evening. The course of therapy with this drug lasts at least 10 days. A single use of the medicine or non-compliance with the terms of therapy will not give any result.

General description of the pathology

The human papillomavirus can cause damage to the skin, oral mucosa and genitals. HPV has great oncogenic potential. It causes metaplasia of epithelial cells, the degeneration of benign tissues into malignant neoplasia. It is believed that papillomavirus can cause cancer of the cervix, vulva and vagina in women.

There are two main routes of transmission:

  • Sexual.
  • Vertical (from mother to fetus). This can lead to spontaneous abortions in late stages or damage to the larynx in the newborn.

The medical literature also describes the contact and household route of infection. It is believed that flat warts and plantar papillomas can be infected in this way.

Risk factors for human papillomavirus infection are:

  • frequent change of sexual partners;
  • early onset of sexual activity;
  • concomitant sexually transmitted infections;
  • primary immunodeficiency;
  • avitaminosis;
  • bad habits.

The incubation period ranges from 1 to 12 months. There are 30 types of papillomaviruses.

Depending on the type of HPV, the following forms of diseases are distinguished:

  • Vulgar warts. Most often localized on the hands and fingers. They have a large “mother” and small “daughter” formations.
  • Flat warts. They rise slightly above the surface of the skin and are located on the hands or face.
  • Plantar warts. They resemble a callus and are markedly painful. Localized in places where shoes rub.
  • Condyloma acuminata. It is a papilloma with a thin stalk or a wide base. Their main location is the genitals. Foreskin, glans penis in men. In women - labia minora, vagina, anorectal area.
  • Papillomas of the cervix. Prone to malignancy.
  • Atypical condylomas. They are condylomatous vaginitis and cervicitis. It can only be seen using colposcopy.
  • Giant condyloma. Invades large areas of the genital organs and the anus area.

It has been established that human papillomavirus infection occurs in HIV-positive individuals 4 times more often than in HIV-negative individuals.

Features of application

The virus often manifests itself externally on the mucous membranes of the genital organs. Then the use of the drug “Viferon” for papillomas in intimate places is indicated. Reviews in this case are not much different from those given when using the drug on the skin. Their range is wide - from extremely negative to grateful and recommendatory. Ointment for mucous membranes is used along with the gel pharmaceutical form of the drug. Both products are applied very carefully using a cotton swab. For papillomas treatment to be as effective as possible, the product should be applied regularly. Course: 4-5 times a day for 7-10 days. Expert reviews give a lot of information about the drug “Viferon” (ointment) for papillomas. They remind you that this form should be lightly rubbed into the skin without damaging the tumor. The gel is only applied in a thin layer, without rubbing, since its consistency allows the medicinal substance to act more actively on the skin. This drug is used not only in the treatment of adult patients, but also in pediatrics. In this case, external medications are indicated for children over 1 year of age. But suppositories can be used even in neonatology, taking into account the body weight of the newborn.

If used during pregnancy

Most often, the papillomavirus makes itself felt when a change in hormonal levels occurs. And it is clear that most antibiotics are simply not allowed to be used in such a condition of the female body as pregnancy. As for ointments for condylomas, in most cases they are possible, but specifically after permission and confirmation in writing from a gynecologist and dermatologist. Only these two specialists, having analyzed the woman’s condition, give such permission so that not only the effect is achieved, but at the same time the fetus and the health of the expectant mother are not harmed in any way. To do this, you will need to undergo a series of tests. It is possible that treatment will be delayed until a later time.

Specifically, the growths will not affect the birth of the baby, but the use of certain medications can not only damage the immune system of the fetus, but also destroy it. Only taking into account such risk factors, in most cases, treatment (even with ointments) is postponed to the postpartum period. If condylomas are located in the groin area and cause discomfort and pain, then Viferon ointment or Oxolinic ointment, which are considered safer, can be used. The most dangerous for mother and baby are genital warts located in the perineum. They can disrupt labor and the birth process as a whole. Seeing such a situation, specialists immediately begin treatment. For the safety of the life of the pregnant woman and her baby, a caesarean section will be scheduled.

Are there any contraindications?

There are few contraindications to the use of the drug based on human recombinant interferon alpha-2b “Viferon” and in the form of an ointment or gel, since it does not have any significant systemic effect. When initially applying the medicine to the skin or mucous membranes, you should pay attention to possible allergic reactions, indicating sensitivity to both the active component itself and the excipients. If such a reaction of the body occurs, then the drug should not be used.

conclusions

Suppositories for papillomavirus are recognized as excellent remedies that have a local effect. During a course of treatment, they exhibit a diverse effect. Despite this, the maximum benefit from their use is achieved in the case of complex therapy, when antiviral, immunomodulatory, and antimicrobial drugs are prescribed.

It is not without reason that doctors say that any disease is easier to prevent than to overcome. It is impossible to completely get rid of the papilloma virus, therefore, to prevent HPV infection, it is recommended to carry out timely vaccinations, practice protected sex and adhere to a healthy lifestyle.

Expert opinion about the drug

Human papillomavirus is a fairly serious and dangerous disease that can cause cancer. Unfortunately, today there is no absolutely effective drug. Which is able to completely remove this virus from the body and prevent serious consequences of its activity. But the pharmaceutical industry develops and produces drugs that, together, help to successfully treat the manifestations of the virus, and also make it possible to obtain remission in the development of the disease. One of these remedies is “Viferon” for papillomas. Reviews from experts about this drug are mostly advisory, although to a greater extent the drug helps fight diseases such as influenza and herpes. Doctors note the high effectiveness of this drug as a prophylactic agent. To treat papillomas, Viferon ointment or gel should be used in complex therapy, since these externally applied drugs cannot cope with such a serious enemy alone.

Analogs

If it is impossible to remove papillomas with Viferon ointment, it is replaced with analogues. Good reviews are left by patients who were prescribed the following drugs to destroy papillomaviruses:

  • Genferon;
  • Interferon lyophilisate;
  • Kipferon.

Acyclovir ointment or its imported analog Zovirax can be used as an antiviral agent.

Patient reviews

A fairly popular drug for helping the immune system for various viral diseases is “Viferon”, produced in the form of ointment, gel and rectal suppositories. People who have used these products on the recommendation of a doctor note their effectiveness. Most note that the drug was used in complex therapy, since this is the treatment of a viral disease that was prescribed by the attending physician. People say that medicines in the form of ointments or gels are convenient to use because they do not have a specific odor and do not require an occlusive dressing. It is important for parents that medications to help the immune system can be used in the treatment of children starting at the age of 1 year. Many reviews say that Viferon ointments and gel are affordable, because they are applied in small quantities and one tube of medicine lasts for a long time. But suppositories are quite expensive, because for a package of 10 suppositories you need to pay about 600 rubles. Many patients who have been helped by the drug “Viferon” would like to see it in the form of tablets or an injection solution to help the body fight viral diseases. But there are no such dosage forms containing human recombinant interferon alpha-2b, since this biological substance will not work if it penetrates the gastrointestinal tract, and interferons in the form of injections cause numerous side effects.

Positive aspects of treatment

Feedback from people after getting rid of condylomas with the help of Viferon is only good. This method has a number of advantages over others, which may be more expensive.

Many people are afraid of pain during treatment. And the use of pain relief is not always indicated. After applying the ointment, there is no unpleasant sensation at all. In addition, it does not cause burns or scars, even if it comes into contact with healthy areas of the skin.

The high efficiency is explained by the presence of antiviral properties possessed by the main component. The interaction of all components enhances each other's work.

Recovery occurs relatively quickly. It all depends on the state of the body, its individual reaction, as well as the neglect of the process. Cure is possible within 5 days, but it may take a month.

Viferon is used not only for condylomas, but also in cases of concomitant pathology in the form of herpes, chlamydia or other viral infections. Thanks to the wide spectrum of action of one drug, high efficiency is achieved and the risk of complications is reduced.

Natural ingredients are always better than chemical compounds that can cause irreparable harm.

Thanks to this, there are practically no side effects, except for an allergic reaction, which occurs extremely rarely.

The only contraindications include the age of the child under 1 year.

Simplicity and accessibility make the method increasingly popular and widespread. It can be used at home without fear of harming yourself.

How to buy and store medicine?

Medicines such as ointment and gel “Viferon” for papillomas have quite varied reviews from specialists and patients. This is due to the nature of the diseases in which the drug is used, because viruses are a serious problem that can cause dangerous diseases. Drugs called “Viferon” are sold in pharmacies without a doctor’s prescription. But taking them without a diagnosis and appointment by a specialist is not recommended. Store both the ointment and the gel in a closed tube at a low temperature - no more than 12 0C. The shelf life of these medicines is only 12 months, so it is necessary to carefully monitor it, since after the expiration date the medicine should not be used under any circumstances.

Viferon gel for papillomas

Viferon gel can be used for external manifestations of human papillomavirus infection. It is prescribed to patients of all age groups, in particular newborns. Very often, this gel is prescribed for prophylactic purposes to patients who, in addition to condylomas and other papillomavirus neoplasms, are diagnosed with acute respiratory infections, laryngotracheobronchitis, recurrent false croup, etc. The drug has no contraindications.

It is not recommended for use in patients who have hypersensitivity to its main component - interferon, or to excipients.
