About the benefits of lemon for the skin and the fight against wrinkles
Lemon for facial skin – are you kidding me? Many of us consider bright yellow citrus too pungent for delicate and sensitive skin. But few people advise using citrus in its pure form. In most cases, home care and anti-aging products contain auxiliary ingredients. However, lemon is still the main component. The citrus beloved by many is ready to serve the beauty of the skin due to its high content:
- vitamins (the fruit contains vitamins B, A, C, E, P);
- essential oils;
- carotene;
- phytoncides and pectin;
- organic acids;
- useful micro and macroelements (magnesium, calcium, zinc, etc.).
When used correctly, all the beneficial elements present in lemon can serve our skin well and help get rid of unattractive marks on the face called wrinkles. Lemon has excellent moisturizing and whitening properties and quickly smoothes out wrinkles. It is often used to care for oily, combination and problem skin.
The high content of vitamin C helps to normalize the process of melanin production, which evens out skin tone, making it more elastic and smooth. A large amount of citric acid provides a good scrubbing and exfoliating effect and helps improve complexion. Lemon is an excellent helper in the fight against pigmentation. If you are prone to the appearance of “sun marks” on your face (freckles), then you simply cannot do without lemon. Its use will be justified in people with oily skin. The components included in citrus will provide a disinfecting, tonic and nourishing effect. The anti-aging effect of lemon is associated with the ability to enhance collagen synthesis on the surface of the epidermis. In addition, lemon actively fights wrinkles thanks to its pronounced regenerating properties. All the beneficial properties of lemon for the epidermis make this sour fruit, beloved by many, an excellent means of preventing age-related changes.
Properties of lemon
It is not for nothing that lemon is often used not only in home, but also in professional cosmetology. This citrus can truly become a natural healer.
It must be handled with care. If only because it is a rather strong allergen. Before using it for the first time, a tolerance test is required.
If you are lucky and your body accepts citrus in a friendly manner, you can fully enjoy its beneficial properties.
Indeed, when used correctly, it has a great effect on the skin:
- regulates the functioning of the sebaceous glands;
- improves cellular nutrition;
- stimulates collagen production;
- strengthens immune defense;
- provides cells with oxygen;
- removes greasy shine;
- refreshes and evens out complexion;
- lightens freckles and dark spots;
- accelerates the healing of wounds and cracks;
- acts antibacterial;
- tones and relieves swelling;
- evens out skin texture;
- tightens enlarged pores;
- cleanses pores of impurities;
- removes acne and rashes;
- slows down the aging process.
Lemon gives an excellent cosmetic and rejuvenating effect. But at the same time, careless handling can cause severe redness, inflammation, irritation and even burns.
My review
The very first thing I tried specifically to combat stains was ordinary white clay. Then I started adding this to the mask: soda, aspirin, table salt, vitamin E, lemon juice, black tea and others. Of course, I didn’t put everything into the mask at the same time :), because some components are not compatible.
Let me note that clay works well on its own, but when the action is combined with the same lemon, it is much more effective.
For example, when I tried one clay, the effect was a little lingering, but when I tried adding soda and black tea, the stain began to go away much faster, even old scars began to dissolve. All I had to do was experiment
