The camphor tree is native to China, Japan, Madagascar and Vietnam and has red leaves that turn dark green in the fall. The leaves and stems of this tree are dried by steam distillation to extract 3 types of camphor oil such as yellow, white and brown.
What is camphor alcohol for acne?
Camphor alcohol is a solution with a plant composition. The medicinal drug has been used in medicine and cosmetology for quite a long time. In the process of its production, camphor is taken as a basis - a component of organic origin. The solution is widely used not only in specialized medical institutions, but also at home. The product is a colorless liquid with a pungent but not pungent odor. The medicine is sold freely, but it must be used in doses, little by little, and only when such a prescription is made by a doctor. It is the specialist who must examine the patient and make sure that there are no contraindications to the use of camphor alcohol.

This allows you to reduce sensitivity in the inflamed area, accelerate blood circulation and metabolic processes, which will promote rapid healing. Camphor alcohol, applied externally, is partially absorbed by the blood, then it is oxidized and excreted. The organs of the respiratory or digestive system are not affected.
Recipes from dermatologists
- Shredder with salicylic acid. Mix all ingredients and pour into a bottle for storage. Ingredients:
- salicylic acid 2 percent (1 bottle);
- boric acid (1 bottle);
- streptocide – 7 grams;
- precipitated sulfur – 7 grams;
- Another recipe for salicylic mash.
- Salicylic acid – 30 ml.
- Camphor alcohol – 80 ml.
- Streptocide – 10 tablets.
- Levomycetin – 4 tablets. The tablets must be crushed into powder using a small mortar, add the liquid ingredients and mix thoroughly:
- A mash with chloramphenicol and aspirin, dries out pimples and reduces inflammation:
- chloramphenicol – 2 tablets;
- sulfur – 2.5 g;
- 50 ml each of boric acid and ethyl alcohol;
- A shake with erythromycin and zinc helps get rid of pimples that occur due to hormonal changes and stress:
- 4 g zinc oxide;
- 4 g erythromycin;
- 50 ml each of boric acid and salicylic alcohol;
- Calendula mash:
- Levomycytin – 8 tablets.
- Aspirin – 8 tablets.
- One bottle of calendula tincture. Crush the tablets into a fine powder, pour it into a bottle with alcohol tincture of calendula. Shake. Calendula effectively fights pimples and dries out infected areas.
- Chatter with trichopolum, dries out pimples and relieves inflammation:
- 1 bottle of salicylic alcohol;
- 2 tablets of chloramphenicol;
- 2 tablets of trichopolum;
- A shake with clindamycin prevents the proliferation of bacteria in the sebaceous glands, reduces inflammation and dries out acne wounds:
- aspirin – 4 tablets;
- clindamycin – 4 tablets;
- boric alcohol and ethyl alcohol - 50 ml each;
Contraindications for camphor alcohol for acne
It is strictly contraindicated to apply camphor alcohol to tissues with damaged integrity. The condition of the damage (regardless of its nature) worsens. The drug causes irritation and contributes to additional pain. Using the solution for skin injuries prevents their healing and does not allow the tissues to naturally regenerate. Therefore, camphor alcohol can only be used to treat rashes without bloody or bloody discharge.
This type of solution should not be applied during pregnancy. Bearing a fetus is characterized by hormonal changes, as a result of which the skin becomes overly sensitive and vulnerable. There is a high risk of irritation.
It is not recommended to use camphor alcohol in any of the options (internal use, treatment, applying a compress) for some chronic diseases. Pathologies include eczema, dermatitis, the presence of a convulsive state or a high predisposition to it. The development of seizures is promoted by drugs from the analeptic group, so combining the use of these drugs with the use of camphor alcohol is contraindicated.
Contraindications

When the purpose of treatment with camphor is to eliminate existing acne, the surrounding tissue must be wiped, and the inflammatory element itself must be blotted with a cotton pad soaked in the solution. This will dry out the rash, after which the pimples will be able to come off on their own, and recovery will occur.
Masks
Camphor alcohol for acne can be used as a mask. However, the ideal option here would not be an alcohol solution, but camphor oil, which can be bought at any pharmacy. It contains healing esters that can eliminate microbes and get rid of inflammation.
Plus cosmetic clay
The ideal combination for camphor oil is cosmetic clay (white, green or blue). This mask dries out each pimple perfectly and helps relieve inflammation. Also, this product should be used in the presence of post-acne, or rather scars and age spots.
To prepare such an anti-acne mask, a small amount of the selected clay must be diluted with water so that its consistency resembles sour cream. Add a couple of drops of camphor oil to this and mix. Can be applied to previously cleansed facial skin.
